Jane has been providing legal services for nearly 25 years. Jane assists Alkalay & Smillie’s attorneys in the preparation of a wide-range of litigation matters and manages office accounting.  Jane covers such practice areas as criminal, civil litigation and personal injury. Jane also has several years of experience working in the insurance industry where she specialized in insurance premium quotes and customer service as a licensed agent in Property and Casualty Insurance.

In addition to her many years of experience as a paralegal, Jane is happy to answer your calls along with any questions you may hav,e and will easily become familiar with a client’s legal needs. Jane enjoys traveling with her husband, Frank and is the proud mother of her son, Adam.

With over 15 years of legal and administrative experience, Cassie Garland serves as a paralegal with a primary focus on estate planning and probate matters. She is known for her friendly, client-centered approach and strong problem-solving skills, often serving as a reassuring point of contact for clients navigating complex or sensitive legal issues. Cassie also provides reliable support across other firm matters, helping ensure each case is handled efficiently and with care. Outside of the office, Cassie enjoys camping, bonfires, road trips, and exploring new places. She values time spent with friends and family and is the proud mother of two sons—one of whom serves in the United States Army. She is a supporter of Veterans and the American Legion. A lifelong New England Patriots fan, she brings the same dedication and team spirit to her work that she does to the things she loves.

Our Office Assistant, Gina, assists with incoming calls, scheduling, and administrative support across the firm. She quickly builds relationships with our new and existing clients, and may be your first point of contact. With a strong commitment to organization and client service, Gina helps create a welcoming and efficient office environment and is known for her attention to detail, professionalism, and friendly demeanor.

Gina lives in Intervale and enjoys long car rides visiting family and friends with her husband, Marc, and enjoys New England’s changing seasons – especially snowy winters and fall foliage.
